Frittaffle! πŸ₯šπŸ₯”πŸ…πŸ§€

SATUR-YAY!

This morning I was browsing ideas about what I could make in the waffle maker and I came across the frittaffle! (Frittata + Waffle). I made a vegetarian version because I didn’t have any breakfast meat in the fridge, but you can definitely add anything you want to yours.

These are easy to make, and so tasty. Here’s how I made it:

Ingredients:

4 eggs

4 tbsp milk (or whatever dairy product you choose)

1/2 cup cut potato (I used hash browns)

1/4 cup cut green peppers, yellow onions and tomato

1/4 cup cheese

Directions:

Turn on waffle maker and allow to heat

Cut up vegetables, potatoes and cheese if necessary

Mix eggs and milk together in a large bowl

Stir vegetables, potato and cheese into the egg mixture

Butter the waffle maker

Pour your frittaffle mixture on the waffle maker

Allow to bake until ready (about 2-4 minutes depending on size)

Remove your frittaffle and ENJOY!

Engagement Photos πŸ’Β

Here are some engagement photos that we had taken on Longboat Key. This area is so beautiful. I really want to incorporate as much wood into our wedding as possible and driftwood is a fun way to do that since we are near the water 🌊 I am having so much fun planning this wedding!

Tomorrow my fiancΓ©, Eric and I are going to Beer Can Island on Longboat Key to take our engagement photos. I, personally, am so excited to go because I heard it’s beautiful. My obsession with wood has only grown larger over the past few years and this island is full of driftwood. Living in Florida is still a whole new experience for me and I love getting out to see new places. Here are a few pictures of the driftwood on the island:

Photo transfer to wood

So over the weekend I decided to try a new crafting project. When I visited my cousins house a few weeks ago I saw she had pictures of the family and her dogs, transferred onto pieces of wood. When I asked her where she had it made she said she did it herself! So I thought I would try my hand at it. This is how I did it:

What you will need:

laser printer pictures

unfinished wood

matte gel medium

modge podge

paint brush

I started by printing the photos I wanted to transfer with a laser printer. I didn’t have a laser printer, so I went to my local fed-ex and had them print the pictures for me. Then I went to Michaels and got pieces of unfinished wood, matte gel medium, modge podge (I chose matte finish), paint brush, and paint if you would like.

Next I cut out the pictures and spread the gel medium on the pictures. Make sure to apply enough of the gel medium to be sure the picture transfers to the wood. (I didn’t put enough around the edges of the dog picture and some of the ink didn’t transfer.

Then I let it sit overnight to allow for the ink to set. The following morning I took a warm wet rag and wiped off the paper.

Then you want to apply the modge podge finish to seal it Annnnnnnd, TAAAAA DAAAAA! Your photo has been transferred to wood πŸ˜€
